Chef Ryan Smutzki has been cooking since the age of 13. Through his years in high school, Ryan always kept a part-time job in a kitchen. Upon graduation, Smutzki felt a calling to the culinary world and found the best restaurant in Wood Haven, Michigan and started as a line cook and moved up quickly to Sous Chef. It was at this restaurant that he met his wife, Chef Gianna Smutzki. Together, they moved to South Florida “to find better restaurants and chefs to learn under and we eventually moved up to Greenville, SC”. Chef Ryan was hired as Executive Sous Chef 4 months prior to being promoted to Executive Chef Rick Erwin’s Nantucket Seafood. Chef Ryan is now Executive Chef at Rick Erwin’s Level Ten in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
