Meet the Chef
Scott Ostrander - Executive Chef, Rick Erwin’s Eastside
Chef Scott Ostrander grew up on the edge of his Grandfather’s produce farm in the Hudson Valley of NY. He started cooking during his undergrad at Penn State. He then left PSU to go to The Culinary Institute of America and graduated in the top of his class. Scott worked under 2 James Beard Award winners and a Relais & Chateau Grand Chef before taking his first Executive Chef job at the renowned New Heights in DC. Ostrander eventually opened his own restaurant in Charleston in 2003 and operated there for 2 years. He worked in Savannah, Jacksonville, and Norwalk CT before joining The Kessler Collection as Executive Chef of the Grand Bohemian Asheville from 2014-2019. He moved to Florida with Kessler in 2019 as Chef/F&B Director for the Casa Monica Resort & Spa. Scott Ostrander became the Executive Chef at Rick Erwin’s Eastside in March 2022.
